How to make a WhatsApp QR code

  1. 01

    Enter your WhatsApp number

Type the country code and the number. Spaces, dashes and brackets are fine. A leading 0 on the national number is dropped for you, so country code 44 with 07911 123456 becomes 447911123456.
  2. 02

Add a prefilled message if you want one

A short opener such as “Hi, I'd like to book a table” saves the customer typing and tells you why they scanned. Leave it empty for a plain chat.
  3. 03

    Download the code

The code appears as you type. Download the PNG for screens and quick prints, or the SVG for signs, menus and shopfronts. The link inside the code is shown under the result, so you can copy it too.
  4. 04

Scan it before you print it

Point a phone camera at the code on screen and check it opens the right chat with your message. Print it at least 2 cm (about 1 inch) wide, dark on light, with a clear margin around it.

Frequently asked questions

How do I make a WhatsApp QR code?

Enter your WhatsApp number with its country code, add a message if you want one. The code appears as you type and holds a wa.me link, so scanning it with a phone camera opens a chat with your number. Download it as a PNG or an SVG.

Does the QR code expire, and is it free to use?

It does not expire, and it is free. The code is just your wa.me link written as a picture, so it works for as long as that WhatsApp number does. The tool needs no account and has no limit. If you change your number or message, make a new code.

Is my phone number sent or stored anywhere?

No. The code is made in your browser, and the number and message are never sent to Evoriqa or anyone else. Site analytics records only that a code was made and whether you added a message, never the number or the text.

Should I download the PNG or the SVG?

Use the PNG for a website, a slide or a quick print. Use the SVG for anything printed large or at a professional printer, because it stays sharp at any size. Both hold the same link.

Can I use this code for WhatsApp Business?

Yes, if the number is registered on WhatsApp or the WhatsApp Business app. The link opens a chat with that number, whichever app it uses.

What happens when customers message me?

Their message arrives in your WhatsApp like any other. If you would rather not answer every one by hand, Evoriqa's AI agent can reply on WhatsApp from your own website content. It hands over to your team when a person is needed.

Or let an AI agent answer from your own content
