Free WhatsApp link generator

Evoriqa's free WhatsApp link generator builds a wa.me link that opens a chat with your business number, with an optional prefilled message. Enter the country code and number, copy the link, and use it on your website, in an email signature or on social media. Everything runs in your browser, and your number is never sent anywhere.

Your number and message stay in this browser. Nothing is sent or saved.

Enter your country code and number and the link appears here. It looks like https://wa.me/447911123456.

Want to print or display it? Turn the same number into a QR code customers can scan.

How to create a WhatsApp link

  1. 01

Enter the country code and number

Spaces, dashes, brackets and a + are removed for you. A leading 0 on the national number is dropped when you give a country code: 44 with 07911 123456 becomes 447911123456.
  2. 02

Add a prefilled message if you want one

The message appears in the customer's chat box ready to send. Emoji, line breaks and symbols such as & are encoded correctly. Leave it empty for a plain chat link.
  3. 03

Copy the link and test it

Press Copy link, then Test the link to open it. On a phone it opens WhatsApp. On a computer it opens WhatsApp Web or the desktop app.
  4. 04

Put it where customers already are

Use it on a website button, in an email signature, on a Google Business Profile, in a social bio or in a text. To print it, make a QR code from the same number.

Frequently asked questions

How do I create a WhatsApp link?

Enter your number with its country code, add a message if you like, and copy the link the tool shows. It has the form https://wa.me/ followed by your number in international format with no + sign, and optionally ?text= and your message.

What format should the phone number be in?

International format: country code first, then the number, with no + sign, spaces, dashes or brackets. This tool does that for you. A number has at most 15 digits, country code included. The leading 0 used for calls inside a country is left out.

Is my phone number sent or stored anywhere?

No. The link is built in your browser, and the number and message are never sent to Evoriqa. Analytics records only that a link was copied and whether you added a message, never the number or the text.

Can I prefill a message, and does it support emoji and line breaks?

Yes. The text after ?text= is percent-encoded, so emoji, line breaks and characters such as & and ? arrive intact. Keep it short: customers can still edit it before they send, and a long message makes a harder-to-scan QR code.

Does the link work with WhatsApp Business?

Yes. The link opens a chat with any number registered on WhatsApp or the WhatsApp Business app. The person clicking needs WhatsApp, or they are offered WhatsApp Web or a download.

Can I turn the link into a QR code?

Yes. Use the make a QR code button beside your link, or open the WhatsApp QR code generator. It uses the same number and message and gives you a PNG and an SVG.
