Best for agencies & resellers

Keep your existing number, forwarded to one agent that covers the phone, chat, WhatsApp and SMS.

  • You want to keep your existing number and forward it to the agent, without replacing your phone system to get a receptionist
  • You want the same agent answering the phone, website chat, WhatsApp and SMS from one knowledge base and one inbox
  • You want published plans with a free tier. Top-ups are priced at the same per-credit rate as the plan of the same size. You don't want $0.50 a minute past the first 100, as listed in October 2026
  • You resell support to clients and need a white-label workspace and spend cap per client

Stay with RingCentral AI Receptionist

RingCentral's AI Receptionist (AIR) is a voice-first AI receptionist from a business phone vendor. It is sold as a RingEX add-on or a standalone plan, with 100 minutes included and per-minute billing after that.

  • Your business already runs its phones on RingEX and you want the receptionist on the same account and admin portal
  • You want an AI receptionist set as the overflow destination inside your existing RingCentral call queues
  • You want a large phone vendor behind the receptionist, with CRM syncs to Salesforce, HubSpot and Zoho

Who RingCentral's AI Receptionist is genuinely for

RingCentral's AI Receptionist (AIR) is a voice-first receptionist from one of the largest business phone vendors. As of October 2026 its own product page describes it as something that "automatically answers calls, sends texts, and books appointments": it answers inbound calls around the clock, takes customizable intake questions, books appointments on a connected Google or Outlook calendar, routes callers by name, location or keyword, and transfers to your team with a call summary attached. It is trained on your website, FAQs and uploaded documents, speaks English, Spanish, French, Italian, German and Portuguese, and syncs with Salesforce, HubSpot and Zoho. RingCentral's May 2026 product blog adds inbound SMS, so a customer who texts your business number gets answers and bookings by text, and AIR can be set as a destination inside a call queue to catch overflow when your agents are busy.

The pricing page lists two plans: a standalone plan starting at $49 per month and an add-on for RingEX customers starting at $39 per month, both with 100 minutes included, then $0.50 per minute pay-as-you-go, billed in 30-second increments, with a 14-day free trial (October 2026). The add-on requires RingEX, RingCentral's phone system. A newer standalone version, AIR Everywhere, was in controlled availability in the U.S. and Canada from $59 per month, with 100 minutes included, and works without a RingEX license (RingCentral blog, updated September 2026).

If your business already runs its phones on RingEX, wants the receptionist inside the admin portal it already uses, and mostly needs calls and texts answered, AIR is a natural fit, and a large vendor with a long track record is a real consideration for some buyers.

What people look for when they consider leaving

Most people don't leave because AIR answers a call badly. They look elsewhere because the receptionist they pictured is not quite the product on the page.

The first thing they look for is a receptionist that is not tied to a phone system. The add-on plan requires RingEX, which means moving your phones to RingCentral. The standalone plan and AIR Everywhere are positioned to work with other phone systems, but AIR Everywhere was in controlled availability rather than open sale in October 2026, and connecting a third-party system is a telephony project of its own, not a switch you flip. The second is chat and messaging as well as calls. The pages we read describe phone calls and inbound SMS; WhatsApp is described as coming, and we did not find web chat on the AIR product pages as of October 2026. The third is a price that doesn't climb with call volume: 100 minutes included, then $0.50 per minute, is a meter, and a busy month is a bigger bill. The fourth is selling to clients under your own brand: we did not find a white-label or reseller program for AIR on the product or pricing pages we read in October 2026. The fifth is seeing where an answer came from: AIR is trained on your content, but we could not find anything published about showing a customer the source of an answer.

The alternatives worth considering, including staying with RingCentral

Stay with RingCentral. If your team lives in RingEX and you want calls, texts and call-queue overflow handled by the same vendor and the same bill, AIR is built for exactly that, and moving off it for a few features may not be worth the change.

A live answering service or virtual receptionist, if you want a human voice rather than an AI. These suit businesses where every call needs a person, not a business that wants routine questions answered instantly at any hour.

Another AI phone agent, if you only need the phone and want to compare voice quality and booking integrations. Worth a look before assuming the receptionist built into your phone vendor is the only option.

Evoriqa, if you want to keep your existing number, forward it to the agent, cover chat, WhatsApp and SMS with the same agent as the phone, and pay a published monthly price with a free tier to start on. It does not replace your phone system and does not require RingEX.

RingCentral AI Receptionist pricing (October 2026)

RingCentral publishes the figures below on its AI Receptionist pricing page, as read in October 2026. The RingEX per-user phone-plan price is not on that page and we did not find it on the pages we read, so it is not in the table.

Evoriqa's plans are Free ($0, 10 voice minutes), Starter ($29/mo, about 120 voice minutes), Pro ($99/mo, about 520) and Business ($399/mo, about 2,100), with voice on every plan drawing on the same credit pool as chat. By our arithmetic from RingCentral's October 2026 published rates, 520 minutes a month on the standalone plan is $49 plus 420 extra minutes at $0.50, about $259, before any bundle discounts (bundle prices are not listed), against $99 for Pro's roughly 520 minutes. Both sides run on an allowance, so the fair comparison is what happens when it runs out. On Evoriqa nothing breaks or is deleted: the agent keeps capturing conversations and hands them to your team, and one-time top-up packs (from $29 for 300,000 credits) are priced at the same per-credit rate as the plan of the same size, so there is no overage penalty. Evoriqa sells no phone numbers, so the Telnyx or Infobip line you connect is a separate cost on top of the plan. Prices change on both sides, so check each vendor's own page before you decide.

Where RingCentral AI Receptionist is the better choice

RingCentral is the stronger pick in a few specific cases. If your phones already run on RingEX, the add-on starts at $39 a month (October 2026). It includes 100 minutes, then $0.50 a minute. It sits on the account and admin portal you already use, so there is no second vendor. Its pricing page also lists a 14-day free trial and billing in 30-second increments. If phone calls are the whole job and you already pay RingCentral, adding it is the simpler move.

Where Evoriqa fits

Evoriqa starts from one agent rather than a phone feature. Point it at your website, docs and FAQs and the same knowledge answers the phone and your website chat, WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, SMS and Slack. Email is routed to your team first. Every conversation lands in one inbox across eight channels. A call that needs a person transfers to your team with the full conversation attached. The Free plan lets you try the phone agent without a card.

Evoriqa does not replace your phone system or require RingCentral, or any other phone vendor, to work. You set up call forwarding at your carrier on your existing business line, pointing it to a Telnyx or Infobip number connected to Evoriqa, and add the number your team's calls should transfer to. Callers keep dialing the number they already know, and the agent answers behind it. That is the practical difference from an add-on built for one phone system: the receptionist is a product in its own right, so a customer who texts, messages on WhatsApp or opens your chat gets the same answers as one who calls.

Pricing is four published tiers, Free, $29, $99 and $399 per month, with phone minutes and chat drawing on one monthly credit allowance that resets every month. When it runs out nothing breaks: the agent keeps capturing conversations for your team, one-time top-up packs are priced at the same per-credit rate as the plan of the same size, with no overage penalty, and you can set a spend cap per workspace. The Free plan has a fixed quota with no overage. And if you are an agency, every client gets an isolated white-label workspace with its own spend cap, which we could not find an equivalent of on RingCentral's AIR pages in October 2026.

Where Evoriqa doesn't fit

Evoriqa is the wrong tool for part of RingCentral's audience, and it is better to know that now.

If your business wants one vendor for phones, messaging and the receptionist inside a single admin portal, RingCentral sells that bundle and Evoriqa does not: we sell no numbers or phone service, so you bring your own line.

A phone line on Evoriqa answers in one configured language. Chat, WhatsApp and SMS detect the customer's language automatically across 32 languages, but the phone does not switch mid-call, while RingCentral's product page describes AIR switching languages mid-conversation across six languages.

If you need call-queue overflow inside a contact-center platform, with AIR sitting as a destination in your existing queues, that is a RingCentral strength Evoriqa does not reproduce.

And if a compliance checklist demands SOC 2, HIPAA or SSO/SAML, Evoriqa holds none of the three today. Its controls run to GDPR export and erasure, enforced 2FA, encrypted secrets, audit logs and workspace isolation on every plan, and the API is available on request. That is not the certification a procurement checklist is asking for, so check RingCentral's own trust documentation against ours and let the hard requirement decide.

Questions, answered

Do I need a RingCentral phone plan to use its AI Receptionist?

It depends on which version you buy. As of October 2026 the add-on, from $39 a month, requires RingEX, RingCentral's phone system. The standalone plan, from $49 a month, is positioned on RingCentral's pricing page as working with any phone system. A newer standalone version, AIR Everywhere, is from $59 a month. It works without a RingEX license but was in controlled availability in the U.S. and Canada. Evoriqa needs none of them. You set up carrier call forwarding on your existing business line to a Telnyx or Infobip number connected to Evoriqa. Callers keep dialing the number they know, and the agent answers alongside chat, WhatsApp and SMS.

How does the price of RingCentral's AI Receptionist compare with Evoriqa?

As of October 2026, RingCentral lists its AI Receptionist from $49 a month standalone, or $39 as a RingEX add-on. Both include 100 minutes, then $0.50 per minute, billed in 30-second increments. On those published rates, 520 minutes in a month works out to about $259 on the standalone plan. That is before any bundle pricing, which RingCentral does not list. Evoriqa includes voice on every plan from the same credit pool as chat. Free carries 10 voice minutes, Starter ($29/mo) about 120, Pro ($99/mo) about 520 and Business ($399/mo) about 2,100. If a month's allowance runs out, nothing breaks. The agent keeps capturing conversations for your team. Top-up packs (from $29 for 300,000 credits) are priced at the same per-credit rate as the plan of the same size. There is no overage penalty. The Telnyx or Infobip line you forward to is a separate cost. Check RingCentral's pricing page, since these figures move.

Can RingCentral's AI Receptionist cover chat and WhatsApp like Evoriqa does?

As of October 2026, RingCentral's AI Receptionist pages describe phone calls and inbound SMS, with WhatsApp described as coming. We did not find web chat on those pages. Evoriqa's agent answers from one knowledge base across 8 channels. Those include website chat, WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, SMS and Slack. Every conversation lands in one inbox. One difference to weigh: a phone line on Evoriqa answers in one configured language, while chat, WhatsApp and SMS detect the customer's language automatically.
